Here's To Friendship

Twenty-eight years ago today a very special friend of mine came into this world. Our friendship is a jewel in my life story and I felt today was a perfect time to honor her. Terrill and I were friends from birth; we grew up together and shared a big part of our childhoods together. When we were fourteen Terrill moved away, and our lives started to go different directions. I am not proud to say that I didn’t keep in touch with her, but I’m sure in the bigger picture of life there was a reason for things working out how they did. I’m not positive, but I would say the last time we saw each other we were about sixteen. I moved to the East Coast when I turned eighteen and didn’t move back home until I was almost twenty-four. Within months of my moving back home Terrill and her husband moved back to the area, as well. I was so nervous to see her and just knew that we would be completely different and not like each other at all. Finally, one night my husband (who was just my boyfriend at that time) and I went to have dinner with them. Within the first hour we were there I became completely at ease. We had plenty in common and we immediately connected! I am quite sure I rambled all the way home that night, so excited to have found my old friend - not right where I left her… but in an even better place. Over the past few years we have continued to grow closer, she was even there for the birth of my daughter - and to still love me after that speaks volumes! J She has brought so much laughter and fun to my life. She is an honest, loving, and extremely entertaining friend and I just don't know what I would do if our paths hadn't met again! So here’s to old and new memories! Love you, Terrill – I hope you have an incredible year!!
